Kingston Calling
Kingston calling is the Brainchild of Producer paul Hussey. The album features great Jamaican artists doing covers and interpretations of classic British punk, britpop and Indie tunes.
“I have strong links to Jamaica and Jamaican music and I also have strong connections to England and English music. I have worked extensively with reggae music in Jamaica and I also worked in England with ‘Indie’ music, so for me it was natural to put both music forms together.”
‘Kingston Calling’ made its UK debut on BBC radio One’s Zane Lowe’s show and in Jamaica it has been featured by Ron Muschette on Irie FM and features a host of top Jamaican artists including Anthony B, CeCille, Toots, QQ, Chezidek, as well as introducing some new hotties! With renditions of tunes like London Calling, becoming Kingston Calling, Common People becoming Ghetto People and Song 2 becoming Song 2 Too and Kicking versions of ‘Teenage Kicks’ and ‘Tainted Love’
